Victory Parade 2937

Alexey Beliayev-Guintovt's new project extends his exploration of the aesthetics of official, propaganda art to a Red Square almost a millennium in to the future. Victory Parade 2937 celebrates the victory of space over chaos. Using his signature technique of paint and gold leaf on canvas, Beliayev-Guintovt imagines a Red Square of the future which is strangely reminiscent of the grandiose plans for Moscow drawn up in the early years of the 20th century. Now the architects' flights of fantasy have become reality and this future world is populated by people and fantastical creatures.
